Aloha, my name is Roger Brannon and the 2014 Season was my first year back into this wonderful sport of Outrigger paddling after a 20 year absence, and I feel it was meant to be that I found the Kahakai Ohana to make my return. I discovered that Kahakai is a club that is made up of a variety of amazing, wonderful, fun persons that together create such rewarding experiences, not only on the water but on the beach as well that has become very addictive and many smiles throughout this summer. I hope that you come out and experience this sport of Outrigger paddling with our family in 2018.
I feel privileged that I have been voted into the Board of Directors by my teammates. As Equipment Director,  I will be overseeing our Canoes, equipment and team Facility, ensuring they are maintained in top notch condition. This will create the best, and safest outings for all of our members throughout the practice and racing seasons.

My eldest daughter introduced me paddling 8 years ago when she told me that "I was supposed to be on the beach on Monday at 6 pm." I had no idea what to expect but I haven't looked back ever since. The friendships I've developed and the time spent on the water looking at our beautiful city from a vantage point that few get to see is what makes this club and the activity so worth it.

Welcome. I just finished my 5th season paddling with Kahakai.
I’m born and raised in Southern California and have always been around the water. I discovered Outrigger from a friend I have known for 20 years. We are a family at this club and I’m honored my Ohana asked me to make decisions in their behalf. I would like to see Kahakai grow and am ready to work.
